The Taiwan People's Party (TPP) has sent its first formal delegation to mainland China since the party's founding in 2019. The nine-member group, led by Lee Wei-hwa, departed for Shanghai on Tuesday for a four-day visit focused on youth exchanges, urban governance, AI, and entrepreneurship. Lee described the trip as a milestone for the party founded by Ko Wen-je, aimed at building "goodwill and mutual trust" and reducing cross-strait misunderstandings through dialogue.
